Grinding for a better time pays off after a terrible start. I'd been spitting out gold splits all night, and made it to the Final Confrontation a little earlier, so it felt like a time was coming. And here it is. I'd like to apologise to GrowthKasei for that ladder. The Worst Ladder in The Game lived up to its name and nearly ended the run there and then. The double-jump onto the portal pillar then tried to finish the job. But fuck them, you don't stop me that easily. Getting the alien with the blind grenade launch on Lost Land is always welcome and makes me look so much more competent than I am. The Mantis quick kill was nice. It's never guaranteed because of poor ammo routing for any boss other than Longhunter. Thunder was generous with ammo drops, so he fell without much trouble. Campaigner was messier than I'd have liked, but I'm not going to complain too much given that I shaved over 2 minuted from my PB.
