Afternoon tiny foxes! We have a couple rule changes for all categories:
- As of today, runs must be submitted as 60 or 120 FPS. Runs at non-standard FPS below 120 should round up to 60 or 120. New runs over 120 are not allowed and will be rejected.
- As of today, refresh rate may not be changed in the middle of a run.
Our boards have been updated to reflect these changes, and our resources on Discord and SRC have been updated with slightly new guidance regarding refresh rate.
And now, a fun surprise! We have a brand new category, memorializing the early times of our SRC forum. Please join me in attempting: Gun%: https://www.speedrun.com/tunic#Gun
This short, misc. category is a good way for new runners across all platforms to try the game, get set up for recording runs and tracking time, and practice movement and menuing optimization before deciding on a larger, traditional category. It’s also dumb and fun so I’m happy.
We’ll continue to refine our community and the rules to keep things fun, clear, and inclusive as we go. And submit your PBs! No PB is a bad time. ?
Hello everyone!
Thanks for all your feedback and assistance in defining the No Major Skips category restrictions. We've now finalized the ruleset and created the All Relics main category, applying No Major Skips to this.
In short, run submissions are now open for All Relics (No Major Skips)! Please make sure to check out the category rules at:
https://www.speedrun.com/tunic/#All_Relics
For a more detailed explanation of some of the rules and terminology in these rules, please check out the following document for further details:

Have fun~
Hello everyone!
@ori_sky, a fellow member of our speedrun community, has actively been running a category they came up with: All Relics (No Major Skips)! Now, it's quite obvious that "No Major Skips" is a bit of a strange description – what is or isn't a major skip can be subjective to each user.
To work out an objective ruleset, @ori_sky came up with a couple of questions, which should cover the most egregious instances of exploits and glitches.
Please, if you are interested in seeing such a category on the boards and competing with @ori_sky, take your time to answer the 13 questions in the poll below! Each question is paired with a little GIF for your convenience, displaying what is being asked.

Hello and welcome, everybody!
Now that TUNIC is out and the leaderboards are open, I want to remind all runners to please familiarize themselves with the rules.
Specifically, I would like to point out the following:
-
All runs are submitted using only the in-game time. This means that real time is not submitted in any form. The submission form only has a field for "Time". This is where your in-game time goes.
-
Please either use the LiveSplit auto splitter, or show your file time after the run. NG+ runs must also show the file time before the run, if not using the auto splitter. This is so that we can ensure the time you submitted is accurate. The auto splitter removes loading times for you, but if you can't use it (for example on consoles), we ask you to please show the file times before (for NG+) and after the run.
Thank you for understanding and happy running!
