It turns out without autoresolve the AI will consistently teleport most heroes like Vader and the Emperor to Kuat when you beat them in coruscant. I believe that no matter who you kill, the AI will teleport them to the furthest unoccupied planet to prevent an early game over.

Somehow Auto-Resolve was able to circumvent this, but not the case in regular gameplay.

There is a potential for a huge time save, I do not know if going to Kuat directly rather than wiping out the empire entirely first can trigger a killing of Vader/Palpatine in order to force an even earlier game over without going to Alderaan....Or if it will just make them teleport to Alderaan

Interesting category though! On much larger Galactic Conquests I can see hunting down Vader/Emperor being a colossal pain...
