So a couple years ago I saw a new rule on the snake speedrunning thing where basically you have to have a timer on-screen but if you don't you have to have sound on. I thing this would be good for Super Mario for Scratch 4 because it gets rid of more cheating things.
"Cheating things" would mean something like splicing, speedup, using a TAS tool, etc.
I already do it on my speedruns, I knew that turning on the sound would detect cheating but I didn't know that the timer too.
used google translate
the reason why snake had it was because there was an in-game timer so splices could be seen but now that i'm thinking about it smfs4 could only benefit from this if the sound was on but that should still be a thing with the sound on. It creates another layer of legitimacy.
So... I can't find anything that records audio without major problems. My built-in recorder doesn't have audio, Screencastify lags my Chromebook, Loom has a 5-minute limit, and almost everything else is blocked. I'm not sure what else to do.
I actually use Clipchamp for trimming my videos... I never realized it had a recorder this whole time.
It's lagging my Chromebook like Screencastify. And I can't cut off my internet to make more room for it.
CB09 gave us the first sub 9 in SMFS4 History. I don't have anything else to add here, congratulations CB09. Typo in title oops
