I think we should get LRT for console players because some consoles load slower than others for RTA and it may not be fair for some players.
Yeah we would love to have Loadless for Consoles, as it would not only make it more fair but also have potential for uniting the boards as well. The sad thing is Loadless for console is unfeasible, at least for now. The options are 1) someone develops a tool that can take loads out during the run, which from what I've heard the load times don't always display themselves well so this is most likely not an option afaik. The second option being 2) Manual Retiming, which I don't think I need to explain is a LOT of effort especially for a longer game like this is looking to be.
Basically we want Loadless too and we're looking into it but it seems unlikely at least in the near future.
Also, most games that run Frontiers have pretty similar load times (like a beefy pc can probably compare to the load times of a PS5/XBSX/PS4/XBO), like the console to really lose time compared to everyone else is the switch (in which digital on system storage is the fastest, then digital on sd card, then physical on system, and the slowest being physical on sd) and on top of that, there aren't too many switch runners lol (myself included)
I'd love to have a universal loadless autosplitter that goes based off of video, that would be pretty hype to tie leaderboards together (which may not be a popular opinion). But a video autosplitter would be wicked, I haven't looked too much into them, but I believe that it would be accessible to folks.
a video autosplitter for this game is a very, very difficult endeavor. we've looked some into it with our autosplitter dev and it, for now, isnt a priority. maybe much, much later down the line.
