First off, the time is the time my timer showed at the end of my run as I don't know how to convert it excluding bonuses after each level. I do not use elemental shields as they feel wrong for Sonic 1 to me. With that said, I do intend on beating this time as I died a ton and made some mistakes here and there. Let's see how low we can go :3
