With Rocket League being free to play, I saw a video by CBell I was thinking about maybe trying this but in 1v1. Do you think that this sort of option would ever be added to the leaderboards? Or would it not be possible due to rng of opponents? Thanks!

yeah and you could be cheat by getting different accounts and letting the account that you're using to speedrun win, it would also matter what region you're from because some regions are better then others

Surely it'd be nearly impossible to cheat like that though, as there are so many people playing one's. Unless you're at a super high MMR there's no way to guarantee opponents, especially when you're unranked. Yeah I didn't think about the region thing, but is there any backing behind that other than at the pro level?? And especially with one's I don't particularly see how it'd have an impact.

im from australia and i could 100% see it, that brings up another problem, it would be easier to cheat if you were in a less populated region

Speedruns that rely on online outcomes (ignoring the fact it would require you to start from a fresh, never ranked before account which would be breaking ToS, and I'm not trying to make this a "safe space" for that) there's too many factors to consider. Region is definitely one of them, but it also requires a certain time of day as well.

Also, their run is cut a lot (for content obviously). I don't know if they paused to use the bathroom, if they took a small break, of their internet cut out at all, etc.

You can do your own runs of you want, I'm not going to score them here, and I don't encourage boosting/smurfing.
