Additional Rules:
-For individual level runs you are not allowed to move while the first cutscene happens or while you are teleporting, it must be seen you starting at the first checkpoint
-For full game runs you are allowed to move while teleporting for the exception of the beginning of Chapter 1
-For individual level runs you are allowed to only use the wings ability at the start of the run without the time starting, all other abilities when used at start will automatically start the timer
-By first textbox I don't mean the whole dialog just the first line, timing would start when the dialog disappears or the next textbox appears
-Ask any questions in the comments and I'll probably respond to them when I got time about this, I think this is pretty fair timing and should be incorporated in the moderation
-The super moderator should put a comment if this is gonna be official or not just an idea by me right now for fair timing
also shouldn't chapter 5 be NG and not NG+ cuz you unlock the last ability at the very beginning
Rules are simple, Fastest time to beat the chapter is the fastest time, Unless there are glitches, That are the rules.
I have to object here.
For most Individual Level runs, timing "ends when you freeze at the end", or in other words, "By freezing I mean when you can't move anymore". I presume you mean the part where your character cannot move anymore because they've hit an invisible wall. I thought this was the trigger too! But I got word from a moderator (SteveGaming6833) that the timing actually when you hit the "storyline trigger" (the Game Rules themselves confirm this!), which is a floor (at least for Chapter 1). For retiming my run (for reasons I'll talk about later), I actually went into the level and due to Roblox physics, was able to pinpoint the EXACT point where the storyline trigger was, thus causing both my run and bozai526's runs to be retimed.
Quick timeline before we continue! I got what seemed to be a 35.94, and it was damn near perfect for the time. (The better NG+ skip hadn't been discovered yet.) And yet, bozai526's run was a 33 FLAT! How could that be? So I put the video into vegas and timed it myself. It was a 36.33 instead! How could CharlesLXV (the original verifier) either let this slip past or retime so egregiously bad? So, I talked to SteveGaming6833 about this, and together with his clarifications and my work, we were able to retime the runs to what you see now: bozai526's 35.333 and my 35.201, giving me the WR (for one day..!), which I felt was well deserved. But the fact of the matter is: CharlesLXV reviewed the speedrun as is required by his job as Super Moderator, and whoever (bozai526 or CharlesLXV) made the claim of 33 flat, CharlesLXV accepted it without request, even though a more competent retime (even though YouTube's duration bar!) would reveal the flaw.
SteveGaming6833 and I already did the work to determine what counts as the end, and now some random person wants to go ahead and change it. I wouldn't be replying here if the same moderator who did a bad job with the retiming was now treating this wall by a random user as gospel, already posting it to the speedrun news with no edits. Now, if Charles65 (LXV=65) ALSO bothered to modify the Game Rules while he was at it, then I also probably wouldn't be making this. But, if you go to the Game Rules today, you will see: "Timing starts on first movement and stops when the chapter transition trigger is met." The chapter transition trigger which me and SteveGaming6833 have found and retimed for two runs in Chapter 1 RG+%. Charles65 does indeed have more powers than SteveGaming6833, and would be in the right to change this (despite how egregious that would be, I mean, bozai526's run has already been timed 3 times, let's not add onto that tally..), but he hasn't. Why is this? I'm not sure.
I point all this out because I really do care about this game and its speedrunning community. I invite all involved to come to a settlement that makes all parties happy.
i believe freezing at the end is ping reliant though
also, we REALLY need to get loads out of the equation in full-game runs :\
Hello! I am looking for new verifiers and moderators to accept / deny runs and generally make the time speedrunning on here as the best it can be. If you think you can be one please join the community discord server owned by Cloakedyoshi himself, Please ping Aaron Siegel#0001 to become a verifier /
