Hi everyone ! With my mate Alink, we're training to beat our time but also an event we might participate in (runs aren't locked yet) so we had some questions to ask you guys.

We have some trouble getting past the 2-1 truck fast, we always have to stop a bit before continuing. In the WR, Sheva doesn’t stop and I believe she's at the spot where she passes the truck quicker than us. Here’s what we do in our runs, what are we doing wrong ?

I just wanted to be sure about the 2-3 troll fight, is the one cycle rng like I heard before or not ? But also, what impact does changing the fps lock have ? What are the important things to know for this fight ? From what I’ve read on this forum in an other thread, Chris must be pretty much on the right spot when the main plaga shows up to miss the least shots possible. I think, as Chris, I have to prioritize being on the right spot for the main plaga rather than hitting the small ones before changing phases, is that correct ? Do we have to explode the red barrel to the right ? I think we got one cycle before without it. Here’s our fight

In the WR, the guy bringing down the cage from the crane in 6-1 is killed from under it, after the cp reset and before pushing the obstacle : We tried it and never managed to kill him, where do you shoot ? Also, is it better than killing him from the high position from where sheva uses her bow for the button ? It seems to me that the WR strat is way more risky as you have less time to kill the dude and you only know you missed when it's too late, losing minutes. As opposed to killing him from the high point where you have all the time during which chris walks to the cp to shoot him and you know you had him because you see it.

We are struggling to find a solid setup for the final fights against Wesker. For the first part, what we try to do is shooting him to make him dodge and then rocket the floor near him so he dashes to us (like in 5-3) and then shoot him when he does his spinning kick. Here’s what it looks like in an older PB (apparently shooting him at the beginning isn’t even needed) . The problem is that this strat seem really unreliable as Wesker tends to do whatever he wants, is there a better setup ? Once Wesker starts to wander around, what is better to do ? We try to make him dash again, as it seems to be the important part of the before mentioned strat, to shoot him again when he finishes. We failed in our current PB but we see that backup dash strat For the second part, I can’t get Chris to climb on the rock where Wesker is, I tried to go forward but it makes me jump to the next part, I tried turning around and then go forward but then again, it makes me jump to the next part. Is there a timing before turning around ? Does Chris always have the same position when falling down ? I’m sure I just did it wrong when I tried but I can’t figure out where. Once Chris is on the rock with Wesker, I understood that the strat is simply to make Wesker do his sweeping animation so Sheva can rocket him but that also seem unreliable as we often have to shoot him multiple times before the fight finally ends. Do we have to shoot him directly ? Or is it a spot near / behind him, to hit his weak spot in the back ? Here’s the fight in our current PB

Final question, is there an easy way to train parts of a run ? like reloading a specific checkpoint even if we triggered a new one after. This would be typically useful to train Wesker as the fight is at the end of a chapter that is not very entertaining to go through. And the last Wesker fight is impossible to retry if you hit him and finish the game. So is there a trainer or something similar ?
Sorry this is quite long to read but we had those questions in mind for quite some time, thanks to anyone who will find the time to read and answer all of this !
- For getting Sheva past the truck, Chris needs to slow down a bit so Sheva is about 2 steps ahead. Then, on the jump over, Chris pushes Sheva forward and that gives just the right amount of space to squeeze by. I'm not sure if it works on Unlocked FPS however, so make sure Sheva is on 60, and make sure she is hugging the left wall as well.
- The One Cycle is RNG, but there are some things you can do to better your chances of getting it. Chris does need to be lined up before it so he misses as little shots as possible, and no, you don't shoot the explosive barrel when the big Plagas comes out, just focus on shooting it. Another thing that helps is letting him get close so there is less bullet travel time. As for changing FPS, I don't know why, but One Cycle has only been done on 30. I'm thinking it has something to do with how long he stays down compared to 60/Unlocked, but I'm not entirely sure.
- There's a big red bar just above him that Chris shoots, kind of hard to see, but if you go there and look up, you'll find it easily enough 4a) For the first Wesker, it isn't needed to have Sheva shoot, but if he pulls out his gun to shoot Chris, we want to pop him to prevent that, which is why we shoot. But, like in your video, you want to shoot that rocket to make him dash towards you, then have one or both player(s) get behind him so he does the flip kick. Really, it's all just a matter of positioning. And if you miss that first rocket, just run away and reposition yourself, then just go for the fast strat again. 4b) Personally, what I like to do is turn to the right a bit after skipping the cutscene, then turn around and run to the rock. It's a bit hard to get down, but it'll get easier with practice. What you could do is wait for the cutscene to end and then run up there, but that's kinda risky. Also, Sheva does need to hit him directly, on his left shoulder area. If it's an indirect, you'd have to hit the ground as the weak spot is passing that position directly
- Retrying checkpoints and going through it segmented is by far the best way to practice, but if you hit a checkpoint after the one you wanted to practice, just quit and I think save, then hit continue instead of chapter select. It'll take you back to the beginning of the chapter/last room a B door was triggered in, so you'll have to work your way back up, but it can be worth it. Also, the last Wesker fight can be practiced as long as you didn't receive a checkpoint upon killing him. If you didn't, just let him pull the helicopter down. If you did, however, you're going to have to work your way back up there
Also, for the truck in 2-1 if sheva is host she cant get past it
Not trying to start stuff, but please elaborate as to how it's skill based for a One Cycle?
