Weak attacks can be infinitely chained, with a small damage ramp up. Turns out, you can carry this damage to the next attack, so long as you don't miss or stop attacking for too long. As for exactly how long, I'm not sure. I can only assume it's a couple of frames.
I've kinda noticed that in my F_Swordsman run training, where you can just sit on one of the corners and chain light attacks on Deviace, the last bash attack should just hitkill it.. There's a video with a Female Acolyte doing a 99k hit with her strong punch, I wonder if the player used the same trick? Couldn't find it anywhere on Youtube, maybe I'm searching the wrong way ;;
Deviace will float towards the player for 1 full second, 2 times. If you're standing near enough, it will float past you, turn around and float back the other way. Deviace will almost be in the same position it started with. Now Deviace sometimes jumps back and I do belive that's RNG.
Yes, this weak attack can be chained to amplify the damage. If we can manage the positioning / manage the monsters' movement pattern, we can leverage this for higher damage output.
