The Class 68 is a type of mainline mixed traffic diesel-electric locomotive manufactured by Stadler Rail for Direct Rail Services in the United Kingdom. They are currently operated by DRS, TransPennine Express, Chiltern Railways and formerly ScotRail. These locomotives are commonly nicknamed "Cats" due to their V16 Caterpillar engines.
