Hosting a Speedrun Game

Here's the allowed way to host a game in Krunker.io that is eligible for speedrun.com verification. This is the ONLY way we will accept games.

How to speedrun Any%:
1. Open Krunker (browser or client)
2. Click on Host in the bottom left corner.
3. Click on "Custom"
4. Click on "Select Game"
5. Search for the map you are speedrunning. When you find it, click the gear icon when hovering over it.
6. Make sure "Force Default Settings" is turned ON
7. (Optional) Turn "Private" ON so you will be the only person in the game.
8. Click "Start Server" and wait for the server to start.
9. Once it's started, join the game. Your time will start when you move. To reset, press "B".

How to speedrun Any% LMG:
1. Open Krunker (browser or client)
2. Click on Host in the bottom left corner.
3. Click on "Custom"
4. Click on "Select Game"
5. Search for the map you are speedrunning. When you find it, click the gear icon when hovering over it.
6. Make sure "Force Default Settings" is turned OFF and you click on the "Spray N Pray" class
7. (Optional) Turn "Private" ON so you will be the only person in the game.
8. Click "Start Server" and wait for the server to start.
9. Once it's started, set your class to "Spray N Pray" and join the game. Your time will start when you move. To reset, press "B".

How to speedrun Any% Co-op:
1. Open Krunker (browser or client)
2. Click on Host in the bottom left corner.
3. Click on "Custom"
4. Click on "Select Game"
5. Search for the map you are speedrunning. When you find it, click the gear icon when hovering over it.
6. Make sure "Force Default Settings" is turned OFF and set "Players" to 2.
7. Turn "Private" ON
8. Click "Start Server" and wait for the server to start.
9. Once it's started, click "Invite" on the bottom of your screen and an invite link will automatically be copied to your clipboard. Send that link to the other person you are speedrunning with.
9. Join the game. Your time will start when the countdown ends.

Movement

Part I - Slide hopping
Slide hopping is by far the most used movement mechanic in Krunker. The way to slide hop is to jump while holding W, and then press Shift when you are about to land, before quickly releasing it and jumping at the same time when you slide on the ground.

Part II - Slide strafing
Slide strafing is very similar to slide hopping, however instead of holding down W, you hold down W and A. While doing this, you will also have to face a bit to the right while mid-air so you will still move forward. When you are about to land, you will need to face forward though so you can continue going in the same direction.

To moon jump, you will need to let go of shift a tiny bit before you jump when slide hopping, which will in turn increase jump height and distance.
