So I was trying to replicate Bastant's latest glitch (http://www.speedrunrecords.com/Grand_Theft_Auto_Vice_City/thread/ruqeb) using the party and not BaB.

You take the mission after replay tommy tries to buy the property. This delays the purchase of the property until you've finished the mission, and it teleports you there. It's similar to the clothes change glitch

This particular warp is useless because of no CC, but I feel like this must have potential somewhere else

This is supercool :).I've tried to teleport myself to that house as well but by getting busted while purchasing the house instead. Usually this warps you back to the house immediately but not if you got a stacked phonecall in which case you'll end up at the police station sometimes and only warp either after the ringing has stopped or after you've answered and the phone call ends. I've been trying to get the warp to delay and only trigger after you've answered the phonecall but I've have not succeeded.

This is definitely promising, but probably not at this particular spot, as this warp doesn't save nearly as much time as the CC skip. I wonder if there's another safehouse near a mission marker, time to hit the maps.

Yea I think that there is a safehouse close to the mission where you race with the bikers. Might try that out later

Ractot tested a bunch of ideas. Apparently you can buy PW before taxi missions and warp to PW after taxi, doesn't seem worth it though.

Could the warp I showed save time in 100%? I don't know how much money you have before the party

I don't know actually, it might. It seems that most missions give a warp to the assett after you've completed them so there must be some way to save some time with it.

I'm not sure Ractrot recorded, he was talking about in #gta last night. I don't have logs of exactly what he said

I didn't really test that much, in fact PW-Taxi was the only one I actually did. I also figured Boatyard was close enough to Cherrypoppers to get there in time with the VCN heli, but didn't actually test if it works there (highly unlikely to be actually useful, to say the least).

Aha ok :). And how do I connect to the #gta irc? I've never used irc before but I got mIRC downloaded. Is there some tutorial somewhere?

you need to join irc.speedrunslive.com (or irc2.speedrunslive.com), and type in /join #gta

an easier way is to go to http://www.speedrunslive.com/channel/ and just to /join #gta - but it's not recommended
