After a bit of time, I've redone all the categories, did a relook at the rules, and did a minor theme adjustment for the time being. All changes in the previous news post are accounted for, unfortunately due to how the subcategories are set up now, it is impossible to look at previous runs in the so-called LEGACY categories (only way I know right now is Recent Runs), in addition all run verifications were rejected for the new categories & rules. As such you may resubmit old runs to the new categories if you still have proof. However, for new runs please be sure to follow the new rules as there have been some additions to test with verification.

Here are all the changes:

• Multiplayer has been replaced with Co-Op. All previous categories have been redone & old ones have been archived and given LEGACY tag, which may be deleted in the future for the new categories.

• Rules readjusted for Solo/Co-Op runs. Please be sure to read them before you start submitting runs!

• Full Game & Level Leaderboards are both now being used and can be accessed by the Leaderboards tab, Full Game will be used for single gamemode maps, in this case, Tutorial & The Bloc (Siege). While Level will be used for maps that fit a gamemode, in this case, an Outbreak gamemode category has been added with all maps that are compatible for it.

• Minor theme change, maybe later the whole look will be changed.

Please let me know your thoughts on the revision so if there needs to be a new category or something needs changed, I can do it.

I hope that this time around people will speedrun Dread's gamemodes more & runs will be verified more often, if you're interested in becoming a Verifier, feel free to contact me on Discord and I can set you up.

If all things go well, I might even consider adding old events onto the leaderboard and people being able to speedrun those with my assistance. But this is only an idea for the future if things go well here. Once again, thank you for reading and hopefully you'll submit a speedrun or two of your own.

Update: I am currently experimenting with the page due to how it's sorted, all Platform Categories have been tagged as Misc. & given LEGACY to prevent old runs from disappearing.

Considering me and ByteBox haven't been approving runs as often as we should, and Dread's many updates since the end of 2020. I plan to rework the page/rules and update/remove some categories to reflect the current version of Dread instead of a year ago. These planned changes (NOT FINAL YET) include:

• Removal of the Rest Station/Coastline Campaign Category (and it's runs). This is because of both maps being removed to be remade. This category will be reintroduced once both map remakes are added & campaign is readded.

• Replacement of the Multiplayer Category (and removal of its runs) with a Co-Op replacement category. This is best because public servers are basically luck when it comes to runs, and having Co-Op runs makes runs less luck based as you have familiar teammates on your side.

• Removal of the PvP categories & runs (Sudden Death, Gun Game, etc.) This is because of the Multiplayer category replacement, which makes PvP runs impossible.

• In addition, all Siege runs will be removed from the leaderboard due to its changes in 1.59. In addition to other things like less waves and such. Other runs outside of the Siege Category may be removed if changes have occurred since then.

• Experimenting with the page look and see what layout would be best for this page & speedruns.

These are the current changes I can think of in my head, these are not final as I want to see what people's thoughts are, not even ByteBox knows I'm making this post so. I did think of making events (including old) a speedrun category but due to the need of needing an Admin+ to set these, I decided not to as it would be a pain for me in my opinion.
