Howdy everyone. We should start removing loads in our runs for the leaderboard because they're too different across versions. Removing loads would make all three viable (PS3 will still lag but its fine) whereas right now if you aren't playing on a 360 with a hard drive you aren't going to come within a minute of a "good time."

You can't compare IGTs because it's wildly inaccurate and honestly we should just get rid of the IGT column altogether. I beat my PB all the time with a worse IGT, and vice versa. I have no idea what it's counting.

I wrote a script that removes loads since it's kind of hard/annoying to do yourself. It's not very good but I was able to run it on my PS3 and 360 PBs, and found that there's 1m5s difference in the loads between them. That's pretty awful. If we decided to start removing loads I'd get the script into a better state so anyone could use it and then release it. I'd be willing to convert the times for all the old videos on the leaderboard too.

That brings up another point which is that we should turn on run verification. Nothing too bad has ever happened but the top Very Hard run is actually only played on Hard difficulty and if we removed loads we'd need someone checking them anyway.

So yeah let me know what you think. Nobody does more than like 3 runs of this game before bailing on it but I still think we should have nice leaderboards.

I think it's a good idea man. I remember you checked out my run and asked which model of 360 I used but I didn't know the load times were that far out when playing PS3 and 360. I have found model of 360's does effect loads very slightly too as I have 2 slims but the one I didn't use is faster on loads maybe due to revisions.

I always wondered about the IGT because sometimes it would be close to my RT or nowhere near even though I time it the same. I agree with Run Verification as it is too easy to just post whatever. I've been planning on running the game on PS3 too but that Nebula fight man...

It sounds good if you can get it to work, I haven't been keeping up with this game so if you wanna ask Kaorru to replace me as a mod go for it.

i'm with the idea of removing the IGT, it aren't worth for runs lower than 30 minute, and its very inaccurate.

@tapioca I think it would be great to do a separate categories with Loading and with no Loading for each difficulties. not sure if it can match nicely. but that's could be a thing too.
