I use (Visual) Mods for Yakuza Kiwami and would like to get into Speedrunning. As long as the mods I use only affect the Graphics of the game can I use them?
I hope that rule changes, Visual Mods don't impact the game & only make it better for the Player.
You can't guarantee that. I used to run a game called Katana ZERO where even the dev thought a sword skin had only a visual impact, but it eventually turned out it had a bigger hitbox in a very specific context. You cannot foresee the impact of a mod, and besides, they make verification harder. This rule is 100% justified.
Consider that Kiwami breaks at high FPS.
Mods will not be considered for the game ever. Too many unknown variables. I'm sorry if you disagree with this, but our position on this will not change.
Switch is now an applicable category for speedrun submissions!
It follows the same rules as Console runs so please submit it with those guidelines in mind. Thank you.
