Thank you! it works on emu at least! It will save almost 15s on my PB!!
You have to use PJ64 1.6 I see that you are using version 2.3
It's interesting. The difference between DW reds and no reds is about 24s. Then I think the lblj into whomps would be around the same time as entering normally (I didn't watch such an lblj that starts from the exiting level place). Maybe you can be faster by 1 or 2s.
Then leaving whomps would be slower (I guess reentering and exit level would be slightly faster than having the door animation). You would loose around 2s I think. So 22s saved so far (maybe 24s max)
HMC toxic maze blj is around 40s with entering and exiting animations,
LLL elevator star is around 25s with the animations,
SSL secrets with tamapless is around 30s with the animations.
I may be wrong of course, I didn't spend too much time reaserching but I guess it doesn't save time.
Hahaha that has happened to Clint Stevens once. Don't know what caused that though.
Thank you for your answers. I don't have anything else running that I am aware of. The settings are the ones recommended in the document.
Some days I have a lot of lag on the usamune rom (but not the regular one) on PJ64 to the point that it's unplayable and some days I don't have any.
Does anyone know why or how to fix it?
For 120 it's not only the text, it's also that the JRB star is not in a box in the japanese version which saves around 2s.
"Only officially released versions of the game are allowed for console runs."
I guess this means they are not allowed, whether they are flash carts or not. I guess you can't expect mods to check that every weird version doesn't give you an advantage. I understand that it must be frustrating to buy an original cartridge but for now they only cost 20$ (It still can be a lot I know but prices might go up down the line)
Thank you for your answer. In the google doc guide to set up Project 64, they say about the GLide plugin :
" For windowed, a 720p resolution is recommended to avoid framebuffer artifacts. "
720p makes a pretty small screen. You don't have any problems with a bigger resolution?
Hi :) , I'm starting speedruns on Project64 1.6 (video plugin "GLide N64") and when I reset (fullscreen), the task bar appears at the top of the screen, blocking a small part of the screen. Has this happened to you?

How can I fix this?

Can I submit runs without resetting? The video would start when Project 64 goes fullscreen just after starting the rom
Maybe you had the same issue as I had: in the usamune rom there are save slots AND load slots.
So to make a save state you have to select the save slot (0-5) with D-pad right then press Start and if you want to load that state you have to select the corresponding load slot (0-5) with D-pad left then press cx4 (or D-pad up if you changed that option).
