Hmm, seems simple enough. Thanks for chiming in. Only thing is I don't know what say, version of Area X I'd be seeing first, upon say a relatively fresh file. I don't recall if Area X was a thing in Rez HD on the 360 for example. I know Lost Area is, but I'm assuming that's a different thing.

Yeah, I heard about that feature. I've since Updated my RetroArch builds, but never turned that feature on myself, because it just came off incredibly fishy. Like, how could it know what your inputs would be, you know? Seems like something we'd see in a machine learning timeline, not our current one.

Anything special I should do if I'm capturing from RetroArch?

Looking through the categories, i did see a couple for Area x. They are presently separated as blue and red. Not familiar with this, i have to ask...what defines each? What would we need to submit for a valid run of area x red or blue?

Looks like I got some homework to do :D

Debating on which and what system to run this on. PC emulation would be convenient, naturally. Is RetroArch running a given core considered a valid emulation mode for submitting runs? If there are specific settings or cores I should run, what would fall under that?

I do have to wonder whether said ban applies to just PC or other platforms. Because I the quick save/load is obviously instant on a PC with an SSD, but consoles aren't going to have that luxury. Even with a faster HDD in an OG Xbox, the quick save takes several seconds. Still beats having to restart the entire mission in the event of a safety save taken for a risky segment, or a maneuver where you need things to go a specific way.

Comparing between OG release on Dreamcast, Rez HD for 360 and Steam version, I can definitely approve of the PC version. It's very well optimized. If anything, I'm wondering if we can see PC version added as a possible submission, because then I can submit runs for it on here.
