Hello, I wanted to add some else's run. I'm not moderator and have no way to do that, or don't get that anyway, so a request to add a run of certain Jasoya, with RTA time 27:22.93. What is LRT I don't know, i don't exactly get your rules, but it seems to bye at least second, if not the first time.

Without sound it's not fun. It's fun of watching that brings before monitors and sound is important part of it.

Edit: apparently sound is disabled to speed up loading. It's a shame it has to be done this way...

Allowable glitches no. 9 says:

9. Entering areas with "frozen" enemies

That's not good as it forbids to do skips in glitchless run. For example in Marakamda it is possible to skip everything and rush to the final (little) demon but it's not possible to avoid areas with frozen enemies (for example underground).

I think it should be relaxed and dissallowed to damage or kill frozen enemies (for glitchless). If one doesn't use glitch to skip, for example with a stool or climb, they should be able to do so.

With archers the question is not completely resolved, but I am in favor of killing them only on Oasis of Nejeb, because there they are killed with 1 arrow. On all other levels they take longer to kill and on some levels they even disappear.

Rule has to be simple and unambiguous, explicit. How about that?: All enemies reachable by foot.

This would make it simple and easy to follow, otherwise there will be someone who will say, those two in Orlok are doable, just collect their arrows and will have enough of them. If so this will apply to the others. It's laborious, to not say tedious, enough to not make it even more tedious, and unappealing.

In tower of Dal Gurak @1:06:02 you could wear sword of Ianna - it would light you up so you could see in a dark. Same later (@1:08:20) when you try to pick u a crown. Same in The Abyss; like this.

You can also utilize more combos, either axepear (at level 11+) and crush bo (at level 16+).

You could take a harpoon in Al Farum @0:44:47 (-19832., 7114., 4726.) as it has higher damage (390 vs 300) and is slashing weapon which demonios are less resistant, or shall I say more susceptible, to: -20% resist to slash versus 20% resist to crush. It translates to 468 damage from harpoon vs 240 from crush bo. It could also be better in fight with Dal Gurak which tends to teleport after hit and crush bo's combo includes the first "pre" hit that makes him escape and harpoon's combo doesn't.

Sorry, I didn't read through rules for the category.

Seems to be logical but I doubt anyone will be intersted as it is going to be very long and you may miss some areas by ging one way and not the other as you want be able to come back - for example in Tower of Dal Gurak.

Also, what about archers? Are they all reachable so one is able to kill them?

What do you mean by "100%" category?

This category is not only undefined but also there is no reason for it, IMO.

Well, one does not exclude the other. Indeed, when it comes to clumsy animation it can recover you form it. That would be taking advantage of a glitch.

You can try fix it here, or identify where the problem lies.

If we understand well the behaviour of the SDF file (what it seems)

As I said - it's serialized python dictionary. It's automatically generated and when you "first time" play the cut scene it will add corresponding value with "name" of the cut scene and its elapsed time. If cut scene is meant to be skipped corresponding value will be added to a dictionary, serialized and saved in SDF.txt. If it's not saved in SDF it's not meant to be skipped for some reason. Maybe they changed mind and wanted it to play in full and didn't remove all the code, just deactivated it. There is lot if deactivated, nonfunctional code in the game. A lot. If you manually add, hardcode, corresponding vale to SDF then it may be skippable. It doesn't mean it was to be skipped.

These are all cut scenes from going through the map. There is no EscenaSuperEsp which is the last cut scene. It had not been added.

The conclusion is simple - EscenaSuperEsp, the last SOI cut scene is not automatically stored in SDF file and in GOG version, or Steam for that matter, it had been added manually, artificially, that's why it "works" to skip this cut scene. It's not standard feature. Even Tessaract, who knew so much about the game wasn't able to skip it.

Whether not including this cut scene was intended, or a bug is a different matter. It should be investigated.

I've been skipping cutscenes (Mines and the Temple of Ianna) in the steam version of the game

They have changed the code then.

There is no other explanation.

These scenes were designed to be skipped

Every cut scene made in 3dsMax was designed to be skipped (this mechanism is in SkipScript.py), only not everyone was designated to do so.

If it's so easy why everyone else cannot skip it?

Why after playing it once, once, not even twice, you are not able to skip it?

because the file only contains "previously viewed scenes". That's not true. These files only contain scenes that can be skipped, not "previously viewed scenes"

I played it hundreds of times and mentioned scene is not, never was and will never be in the file. How are you going to explain that?

teleportation glitch, when you die after you clicked 'jump' to grab a ledge, but before you actually grab it

FWIW it happens when your climbing animation is interrupted, not only when you die; when you get hurt as well. Here you have a POC.

That's also a reason why it may get triggered when you try to climb in Island of Karum with a stool trick and get hit by skeleton.
