Im okay with this definition, with "other". Maybe we could add best possible rank as a requirement (S for japanese, A for other that dont have rank S)
I dont see a reason to pick up or kill everything.
@Symm im not sure yet, but you start with magnum and 24 bullets, that should be enough to finish the game, with one cycle worm.
Edit: I just tested @Symm its not possible to one cycle the worm with the magnum in light mode, so GL still faster.
The best route for light mode is problably pick up one B powder in the Clock tower and the freeze rounds that Carlos gives to you (12 in light mode) then combine the rounds that comes with the GL with the B power, this will give to you 12 acid rounds (light mode), this should be enough to finish the game.
You cant kill everything exacly. Because of Brad / 2 zombies in the rpd courtyard and the zombies / dogs in the first segment with sherry.
We can make a kill all possible, but first what should be considered as a kill. Zombies despawn if you shot him in the legs with the shotgun/magnum and leave the room, embryos also despawn if you leave the room.
Pistol, Shotgun, No gunpowder, Light Mode (good thing about this, magnum is faster 4Head), All Bosses (including nikolai chopper)
I'm trying to think a good definition to 100% (or Platinum% or Master%), we can think about the name after.
You can use magnum in Nemesis%, there is no restriction for weapons that you can obtain during the game. We use mostly the GL because its faster, because of that I do not believe there is one magnum based route
To be fair, you dont need to mash, you just need to press the aim button in a specific frame while you are still holding the shoot button, but you have like a low Numbers of frames (idk how much it is, maybe 2~5, which is less than 0.2 seconds), because of that it is easy to just mash the aim button.
There are different techniques, but this comes with experience. Wusscake, for example, does a triple tapping to quickshotting with the GL in RE3 and a precise single tap for handgun. For Magnum in RE2, i like to wait Leon start to drop the magnum after the shoot animation before starting to mash.
1: Press AIM. 2: While hold AIM press SHOOT. 3: Release AIM quickly and keep holding SHOOT. 4: Mash AIM fast while holding SHOOT.
Try first with the shotgun or grenade launcher, since the windown for quickshotting is bigger.
I understand in this way, for example, to go to the 6th slots: (press down) + (while pressing down press left). The game will register two inputs: (down) and (down+left)

great video, never seen this too, what compatibity mode do you use? Do you run the game in administration mode? And what version of windows?
" if i run the game in administration mode my live splits will not work for whatever reason."
Try to put your livesplit in administration mode too. I play with everything in administration mode, and I dont have any problem with that.
I had the same problem. I think this is related with the reading speed of your hard drive. A SSD should solve this problem. If you already play using SSD, try to use RAMDisk (I use the program Ultra RAMDisk, the lite version).
Just for information, you can use your RAM memory as hard drive and there are some program that can help with that task. In terms of speed: RAM memory > SSD > Hard Drive. The better your memory, more faster it is (DDR4 2400 > DDR4 2133 > DDR3 1866 > DDR3 1600).
Since my english is not really good, I will not try to teach how to use, but there are a lot of tutorial on youtube, teaching how to use it.
To play RE2 using this method you will need at least 6GB of RAM (2GB for the game, 4GB to your computer)
If none of this works (the game still lag for me in some doors), you should consider improve you desktop (GPU and CPU). (My laptop is really old).
