I want to start running NG+ for splatoon, and I want video quality better than a potato. I know I can submit a run w/o video proof if it's a fairly low time, but I want to be prepared if my times get video-proof worthy. Also, how can I get my livesplit times onto the run video if I use a capture card?
The platform list is telling me that Super Mario Bros. can be played on an SNES Classic edition. I own one of these consoles but I cannot find Super Mario Bros. After googling the closest I could get was finding a hack to add games, but the list for SNES Classic games on speedrun.com doesn't have these games. This must mean that Super Mario Bros. can be played on SNES Classic edition without hacks. Can someone tell me how to do this?
I'm practicing 16-star, but I have trouble with BLJ's. A few days back, my brother figured out the if you plug an SNES Classic controller into a Wii Remote, it acts like a classic controller. Now my question is: Is it against the rules to use the gamepad and SNES Classic controller at the same time to make BLJ's easier? If needed, I can provide a video of me performing a dual-controller BLJ
My brother came up with a new splatoon category called Boss Rush. I told him that this category has potential and I would try to get it made into a real category. The rules are simple: Timer starts when you enter Octo Valley and ends when you get the zapfish from DJ Octavio Singleplayer must be completed before the run starts Upgraded weapons/bombs are allowed Super Jumping is allowed All bosses must be defeated
My splits are: Octostomp Octonozzle Octowhirl Octomaw DJ Octavio 1-4 (Split at every checkpoint) DJ Octavio
Record is 15:36
I'm just starting out with SM64 16 star, but I've had some questions about the route + game as a whole:
- What is the best way to record/edit videos with WiiU gameplay?
- For WiiUVC, what is a good controller? (I use gamepad right now)
- How fast do you have to mash the a button to BLJ? (In a presses per second format)
- In WiiUVC, would timing begin after hitting "Reset" in the VC pause menu? If not, then when does it start?
I recently bought the WiiU VC for Mario 64 because the 16-star category seemed like a good fit for me. I decided to take a look at the leaderboards, and every single run was either done on the N64 or an N64 emulator. Is this some sort of a rule against VC or does everyone just use N64 for some other reason?
I always try to get recording software for my PC, but my PC is trash and can't handle anything. I tried bandicam, OBS, and shadowplay, but nothing worked. Does anyone know what I can use?
