Yes I have seen Ultimate Mode. I know it doesn’t give you rings.

I think it was implied that this category would be played on normal mode.

It’s main focus isn’t on beating the game without taking damage, but on finding ways to avoid rings while still keeping good time as they become new obstacles.

For the past few months I’ve been trying to figure out how many rings it takes to beat Sonic Robo Blast 2, I think I’ve finally got it figured out with each character!

Sonic: 24 Tails: 19 Knuckles: 20 Amy: 34 Fang: 33 Metal Sonic: 20

There might be ways to bring some of these numbers down, but for now, I was thinking of making a new category in which you can’t collect any more rings throughout the entire play through than the numbers shown here.

Since boss levels give you 10 rings automatically, I’ve decided that the don’t count for the run or your ring count, and you can play them like normal.

I believe there are some multiplayer only glitches that let some of these rings be skipped, and as a result, multiplayer shouldn’t be allowed.
