Here we have a designated speedrunning server with the same pinned resources, active runners, tool and speedrun mod developers. Feel free to join!
Been pretty busy with study and running/modding other games, I currently do not have the time, if one of the other OG runners wants to take the reigns I will give you super mod and dip out as I don't see the point in upkeeping these boards until the full release.
All demo 1.0 runs will be deprecated and saved, you can find them under the Individual levels tab labeled "Demo 1" I've also added an all coins category.
Simple as Also bringing up the fact that most high level PC players are going to be using mods as is the culture that 5th gen has it's safe to assume PC players would be using at the very least mods like spawn lock, charm edits, and even HP lock etc. If these were to be allowed I think in all fairness PC and Switch should get their own toggle because PC is at an insane advantage.
https://mhrise.wiki-db.com/howtosolota As with World/IB, we will be accepting runs done under the TA Wiki ruleset with a minor deviation. All rules on the TA wiki will apply other than the top 3 rule as well as the English and Japanese game language only rules. You may submit runs with the "TA" variable (In this case TA stands for TA Wiki Ruleset, not Time Attack) if they follow these rules.
If you need clarification of the rules in your native language or have any suggestions place them ITT. (If your suggestion is you don't like TA rules, Freestyle will still be a thing so you can do those)
I hope to have the TA variable implemented within a week of the TA wiki opening for submissions.
The title is self explanitory but I'll provide a bit extra information.
https://imgur.com/gallery/rV0LhAU Speedrun.com guidelines about Turbo Mode. It has been calculated by community members based on fire rates in the demo that LBG and HBG get a reasonable boost from the use of turbo mode, the testing shows as followed. Demo LBG 12.3 seconds per 16 shots on a cheap $20 controller with turbo mode vs 12.8 seconds manually for 16 shots on an offical Pro Controller, HBG in the demo gets a much bigger boost to speed but will likely require extra inputs to swap turbo on and off during runs while using alternate fire.
These numbers seem small and at the end of the day the better player will likely come out on top, so the question is whether to allow Turbo Mode (Which requires third party hardware or an advantage, also saves people from carpal tunnel) and add a variable to check so people can denote whether or not they're using Turbo mode, or to ban it entirely.
If anyone here would like to vote as an anon, shoot me a DM on SRC or Discord and your vote will be counted.
I don't see a reason for every quest to be completed together. There are ways to check to make sure this wouldn't be cheated as well, including showing guild cards as well as showing in game chat to make sure someone doesn't drop out and rejoin on another account during the quests. Doing Urgent quests (Blagonga, Astalos) solo is much more difficult, but it has the potential to save time. Since the rules are already arbitrary I'm suggesting allowing each member in a multiplayer speedrun to solo their urgents if they so choose. I really feel like these types of changes are in the spirit of the speedrun, where higher level play allows for more options to save time. At the end of the day every party involved will be completing every single key quest and every urgent (barring Nakarkos) Just not arbitrarily staying together on key quests.
Here's the scenario. 2P Hub any%, (Both players would be recording their gameplay for proof of no shenaningans for this scenario)
Both start from new character and you accept the DLC and enter the hub, but before you do anything you dupe gunpowder to make access to more bombs a thing during the run. Each dupe takes around 2-3 mins real time but no run before has done this, so I wanted to ask if it would be allowed and wanted to ask the mods.
