Hello. I was wondering what the timing rules were. Does timing start as soon as you choose a difficulty and end after the final input?
Out of curiosity, is the US version faster than the JP version? All of the runs I've found are on the US version and I can't seem to find any JP runners running the game. I didn't turn much up on nicovideo. Are there any resources for checking out JP FF runs/runners?
Thanks!
Are there any known differences between the Mediakite and Sourcenext versions? RE2 and 3, for example, seem to have considerable differences between their Sourcenext and Mediakite ports. I was wondering if that was the case with Dino Crisis.
Thank you for sharing. I had heard that only the Mediakite version allowed you to skip doors, but, as you said, if they're both the same then I guess the Sourcenext version allows you to skip doors also?
I remember reading on Resident Evil Wikia a while back that the Mediakite version was faster than the Sourcenext version. I also remember hearing somewhere that runners were preferring the Mediakite version for door skipping at one point. It seemed like Mediakite was the better version for speedrunning. Could someone fill me in on the how and why Sourcenext came to be preferred, please? Is it because of better compatibility with modern machines? What benefits does the Sourcenext version have/what demerits does the Mediakite version have?
Thanks!
Supergamer57, would you help me on set up the IGT timer to run with the RTA in LiveSplit like in your videos earlier in this thread?
Hey Supergamer57, I just wanted to say thank you so much for the patch. It finally made the game run perfectly for me. Thank you so much!
