Just passing by and updating the rules for this underrated simple series sports/fighting game.

PS2 Emulation still seems to have slight differences, but as of right now I have not split this board.

Updated the rules with the current language used on other leaderboards.

Comment below if you have suggestions or questions regarding the moderation and game.

Should you be reading this, I am worried for you.

This arcade game is scary, not just because your fighting kyonshi (chinese zombies) or the backgrounds and noises which can be disturbing, but because this game breaks rules of 2D fighting games.

You only play as one character.

All the enemies have multiple special moves.

You have no special moves. (That could be found)

Enemies have priority of attacks and can use repeatedly in a row randomly.

You must find a pattern / opening.

The enemy can leave the screen, going completely out of frame for as long as they like.

You have a limit of 2 continues. (4 lives each continue.)

If any decides to play this good luck and you have been warned.

This game controls very similar to the first game, with the addition of special and super moves for characters. Bonus games also play factor in this version.

I made sure to add the categories and character variables since they have a huge impact on the AI's pattern, difficulty, and of course the ending of the game.

I also want to point out that almost all the characters in this game could be usable if a ring out strategy is found. After playing around with the versus mode, I can surprisingly this is a very fun fighter for the game boy.

Welcome to Vs. a port/remake that has all characters designs and modes changed from Fighters' Impact.

I was informed by another user ( @1800POOPNOW ) that the Settings change do not affect the challenge mode so the Any% category has been removed.

If there are any findings for this game feel free to post them here!

As of this week it seems I was given moderator to the Ninja Masters Leaderboard. It looks like some of you were waiting a years time for run approvals. I will work on that first then comment below with usual changes, the current Level 4 category and rules are correct.

If anyone finds anything useful for ANY of the characters, or has a request/question feel free to post it in this thread. This game has some very difficult combos, or at least it feels that way. Kasumi, and Unzen's infinites are just a few I had trouble with. I really feel knowing those combos would bring, not only the time down, but be useful in versus matches.

For those new to this game, its one of SNK/ADK's fastest paced fighting games with the most unique combo systems. Its very underrated and It takes a long time to well... Master, so don't be discouraged because any clear time of this Ninja Masters is admirable.

Fight Fever also known as Wang Jung Wang is a pretty rare fighting game made by SNK and Viccom. Not much is known about this game, so there could be lots to find in this game; here are some of the main points:

Difficulty: Similar to Shinoken( Ragnagard) this game has odd difficulty selections, the default level 4 seems to be the easiest, the other levels seem to change the AI patterns significantly, in some cases making them more difficult whether its level 1 or level 8. Differing greatly from traditional SNK levels of difficulty.

Characters: Master Taekuk and Karate Kenji, the boss characters of the game are unplayable in circuit mode. If you select Master Taekuk in versus mode, after you will have to reselect another character after winning (it switches back to circuit if a challenger doesnt come.) I could not find any pages in Japanese, Korean, or English on codes to make them playable, but that does not mean they don't exist.

Combos: Characters in this game do lots of hit stun in this game, meaning when a character is hit they are in a state where they are pushed back but can be hit again for a number of frames. For example, Miyuki can combo standing light punch walk slightly forward standing light punch from one side to the other. I have a feeling all the characters can take advantage of this in there combos.

I don't expect this game to be a popular title, as it seems it never was, but I thought it would be important to point out some of the main things that could be researched/routed for this game for the few that attempt it.

Windy X Windam! I ran this broken game quite a while ago and never switched the format to match other righting games. I was made a moderator when the original runner passed it to me.

Thanks to one of the new runner @WoT7n some spelling and missing characters were brought to my attention.

Over the next two days I will fix the variable and categories. This will not impact anyones ranking or times. I just want to make the board cleaner. Edit: I also realized there are no rules ... I will add those as well.

Any ideas and suggestions are welcome!

I just noticed, because of the conversation in another thread but my run is not on the board. Previously I worked hard to route and set the best times.

One of my personal favorite versus fighting games, One Piece Game Colosseum Cross Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden are both now recently able to be played on PC, with controller /arcade stick. If you found this page it probably means you like this game quite a lot as well. If you interested please send a DM, I will also figure out how to link to the groups discord.

The rules and runs will be added in the next month or two, because of the ability to play and record easier.

One of the oldest fighting games, I think its the first where you can choose a different character Galactic Warriors is an experience to play.

I have a feeling there are better times recorded, and possibly older (or younger) runners who know the patterns, how to clear this game faster.

My searching did not turn up much, so if anyone reading this knows or has content, please submit or link it here.

Thank you!

If for some odd reason you stumble upon this page, this is the Leaderboard for Vicious Circle.

This game was an unreleased arcaded game that had very few arcade machines available. Due to the obscurity there isn't a playbase for this game outside of gamers who are curious.

The only really good article in any language with information can be found at https://gemubaka.com/2020/10/17/a-breakdown-of-the-canceled-vicious-circle-arcade/

If anyone know tech, information, or wants to try a run I highly encourage it, since so little is known so far and a lot too be discovered.

Welcome to the Abala Burn leaderboards!

This is a very underplayed fighting game, although it features a standard fighting game mode, it has a story mode that is strikingly similar to Mega Man Legends. This mode involves finding a key and progressing through certain 3D platforming and jumps to reach the end of the stage which usually has a traditional fight.

The main reason I am making this thread is in hopes that anyone who wants to route, or has information please share. I have small notes, but as it currently stands it may be a long while before a story mode run can be preformed as a 'speedrun' at my current pace. I welcome anyone interested to take the challenge and will humbly cheer you on and share any information I currently know.

Thanks and I hope to see more runs in the coming years!

Sangoku Musou was released as a fighting game first for the PS1, its not considered the best fighter, however it has a couple of interesting things to find and discover while playing because it does have some deeper mechanics. I also think that copies of this game have been getting harder to find in good condition.

Updated several things, that are usually standard in fighting game speedruns, and I think help keep the forum neater.

-The previous ruleset was basically Any%, so added the ruleset. -Added the difficulty categories, for a more arcade, which represents how the game would be played on a normal boot up or challenge. -Updated the rules. -Added time attack mode. -Added character variable (English names only.) -Made sure all the previous runs were correctly added, fixed broken links. -Set lagdotcom as a moderator for this game as well.

If there is a something that needed to be added or a question please message me on the Speedrun.com site or on any of DBcade social media places located under my profile.

Welcome to the fighting game based off the manga Tough Dark Fight.

I asked to be mod because the previous rules, were only in Japanese, and not well defined. I did not changed the rules but translated them. My hope is that this game gets more runners, because I actually found it fun to play, and games like this tend to immediately get ignored.

Originally my plan was to just clean up the board and write out the rules and categories. Even though at the time of writing this their are only 4 runners, the loading differences and places you can skip seem to differ when comparing console to emulation.

After research it's most likely an issue of the rom/iso and not of the emulation, however currently with ps2 (technically dreamcast, ps1, and saturn too) and onward the emulation doesn't seem to be perfect. If there are any changes to emulation or anyone wants to have the leaderboards merged and manually timed, always happy to set the leaderboards together.

If you want to see all the research the original runner unkostar san did, please watch this video here,

If there is any questions or any concerns please message me on the speedrun.com site or at any of my listed social media sites.

Thank you for reading and lets get buff together and find some really broken stuff in this game!

Hello all Power Stone fans and speedrunners,

This is coming after the Power Stone 2 fix, so if you wanted any categories like the ALL characters, or NEW GAME+ set to the Power Stone 2, all you have to do is complete a run using the same general rules.

It looks like things were a bit messy so I tried my best to define the rules, including even more pictures this time in the category rules description.

Here are the list of fixes and updates:

-Change the date to 1993 to Feb, 1999. This game came out in the arcades , and Dreamcast, and later to the PSP.

-Added regions, and platforms of release. as well as game info.

-Changed the theme.

-Added pictures and a new background.

-Added Main Rules.

-Clarified descriptions of categories and added new ones for NEW GAME PLUS.

-Explained Vargas, Kraken and unlock items are reserved for new game plus only.

-Created Sub categories for New Game Plus, and All characters cleared.

-Added the character and difficulty variables.

-Current runs on the board inserted into the correct categories with correct variables.

-Added @FLUXdreamcasitor88, a very knowledgeable runner to the boards, to verify runs

In the meantime I will be attempting to create a list of Power Stone runs, and add them back on to the board, because I know quite a large number of people ran this game a year or two ago.

Thank you for reading, feel free to message me on the site or any of my tagged social media for questions or clarification.

Power Stones is a fantastic game so lets help try to get some action back onto the leaderboards!

All Power Stone fans and speedrunners,

This is one of my favorite fighting game series, personally I have a long history with this game and really have a deep appreciation for this game. So I took a few extra steps with clarifying rules, if something is confusing or needs be added please message me on any social media I have listed on my speedrun profile or here on the site.

I didn't remove any runs and in fact plan on adding any speedruns that seemingly disappeared from the board before I was made moderator.

Here is the list of additions and fixes:

-Fixed the info, this game was released in 2000 not 1999! and originally in Arcades, and then all the standard regions.

-Changed the cover image to the more well liked version.

-Added a background (Was hoping for a gif version with movement of the same image.)

-Edited Game Rules, and All Category Rules.

-Uploaded image to explain the extra options.

-Added the Default and Hard Categories

-Added the category variable

Thank you for reading, I will update with anything else if needed!

Kumamoto, JapanDBcade4 years ago

The forum has been updated with graphics and correct times.

I had planned to upload an easy time and fix the normal time but it seems those are lost, so at the next planned pc engine event later in the year I will fix the times.

If you are familiar with the Sega CD version and have a run, please let me know and we will add you as a mod and verify your videos.

Kumamoto, JapanDBcade5 years ago

Fixed descriptions of the runs, and removed the options that dont apply do this version of the game (See Guilty Gear X Plus)

Added Kojr's Guilty Gear Discord Link, Characters Variables, etc.

Kumamoto, JapanDBcade5 years ago

Added Character Variables.

I saw someone made a message about other modes, If there is not a category listed and you want it added please message first.

Kumamoto, JapanDBcade5 years ago

Rules, Pictures, and Variables, and Format were updated. If you have a suggestion or questions please get in contact with me.
