Thanks for the mention! I didn't realize Samurai Champloo Sidetracked already had runners, so it's really cool to see this overlap between Suda 51 running and the Anime running in more than one way. Anybody interested in BLOOD+ ONK even just casually, be sure to check out the game page!
I asked the SotD board this same question, so sorry if anybody reads this twice. Weird how both games have a remaster coming up...
As far as I can tell, this game doesn't have a speed running Discord (and if I missed it, feel free to disregard my post). I'm one of the mods for the Suda 51 Speedrunning Discord, which covers a healthy chunk of GHM game speed running. Since LC was developed by GHM, would the community here like to combine forces, so to speak, and join our server?

I certainly don't want to overstep boundaries here, not asking for any board/rules control or anything big. We already have a Discord for GHM games, and since LC is a GHM game that's getting a remaster soon, I can imagine new people will start getting interested in running and want to talk with others. At least one runner here even already joined our server under the assumption we had an LC channel. We're an easygoing community, small but resilient, and we can help support each other as we each do our own things.
We haven't made an LC channel/role yet, but if enough people here are interested, we can make one in a flash. If not, perfectly okay, no offense taken, just wanted to extend the offer to another GHM community.
I meant to ask this a while ago, and was reminded since the SotD remaster is becoming increasingly real.

Mind you, I absolutely don't want to be presumptuous or step on any toes here, not asking for leaderboard control or anything. Just that we're in the same general circles and the remaster is coming soon. Our community is small-but-respectable, pretty easygoing. We already made an SotD channel as there was some interest a while back, but it never picked up. The channel is there, we'll all do our usual business, and we can help each other out whenever we need. I imagine this game will get new interest soon, too, and a Discord can help foster discussions.
If nobody here is interested, totally get it, no worries at all. Figured I'd ask since it has been on my mind (and a few members of the Discord did like the idea). I plan on asking Lollipop Chainsaw board the same thing since that game also has an upcoming remaster, weirdly enough.
I'm not sure if they got rid of the word limit or just increased it sometime in the past day, but I've been able to do some minor edits to my previously-over-the-limit guides, so it seems like they may have fixed it...? I haven't done extensive additions to those guides yet, so maybe there is still an upper limit, but this seems like a step forward for now. Still need to reformat a lot of stuff, but that's fine if I can actually fit all the text I need.
I have no strong opinions on the new text formatting on the site; it's simply a means to an end, and I always have back ups off the website for good measure. While I'd like to update some of my Guides to fix the new formatting, it turns out that there's a word limit now. I tend to be pretty thorough (and a little too wordy for my own good), so this is a notable issue. Whenever I try to edit some of my longer guides, this error below appears. Fortunately, all of my lengthy guides are still up, but just cannot be edited. Here is one of those guides: https://www.speedrun.com/nmh/guides/6ucdi I hope this can be fixed since it's a rather useful tool for me.
I would like to request Super Mod status for the following two games; I'm already a regular Mod on both of them. The previous Super Moderator deleted their account, meaning these boards don't have any Super Mods.

Huh, I think I've seen that glitch before. I can't recall if I've saw it there or elsewhere, but it definitely looks familiar.
We've discussed it a bit before in the Discord, but we never really got anywhere with it. We're all pretty open to include more stuff to the board, so definitely not opposed. I'm wondering if we would separate it similarly to the main game (at least difficulty level), but not sure how NG vs. NG+ would work.
My full route and spreadsheet can be found in the Guides tab, if you're curious.
I'm not quite sure what you're asking. In 100%, we go through the game twice to get all of the NG+ items, and only fight Henry at the end of the second playthrough. The MK-III is obtained right before Bad Girl, and we choose the fake ending first since we thought it was redundant to fight him twice (especially since the real ending is long). Does that answer your question in any way? :P
Those are good questions. Most people here do not own Japanese "Heroes' Paradise (ノーモア★ヒーローズ (英雄たちの楽園)" or Red Zone, so it has not been an issue until now. I actually just played Japanese Heroes' Paradise, and know how different it is. We have not really talked about it, so we are not fully sure what to do.
I do not own Red Zone, but I have heard that it is the same as the US/EU Heroes' Paradise. I think Red Zone should be good to submit as long as you mark the Region as "Japan." Japanese "Heroes' Paradise (ノーモア★ヒーローズ (英雄たちの楽園)" is something we are not sure about, but it is slower and different in many ways, so it might be best to run only Red Zone while we figure it out.
We have a Discord channel, if you want to see some of the discussions there. It is nice to see more people interested in running.
Thanks for catching the error and going to the lengths of rectifying it. Admittedly, for the few emulator runs we've had on this board, there's always been a little questioning about how legit they are, but we like to give people the benefit of the doubt.
This wasn't a big error and you already deleted them from the board, so feel free to submit a proper time to the board if you figure out how to play the game on Dolphin without such a bug happening (or if you ever submit a console run).

Splits are not required at all; you can use a simple timer if you want. Just make sure the timer begins and ends at the right moments.
Honestly, the topic of emulation has never come up for this game before, but I have no issues with it so long as you mark it as "emulator" when you submit it to the board. Dolphin is a solid emulator, so it likely wouldn't make too much of a difference, if any. I say "go for it." I don't speak for everyone, but the game has never been too active anyway and properly labeling it should make it okay for most. If others have a problem about emulator runs, they can come to me about it. :P
If you have any other questions, let me know. If you use Discord, I can give you the link to our channel in case you want quicker feedback.
It's probably not obvious what I'm doing in my NG+ PB because I don't think I reference the purpose of the wrestling moves at the beginning. Wrestling moves manipulate the slot machine in some way, although we're not sure of the specifics. I'm not actually sure if it's worth it in NG+ Sweet since it only saves a small amount of time if you get it instantly; in that PB, I was a little frustrated about resetting for a 777, so I just kept going in spite of the time loss.
Let me know if you have any other questions about NMH1 speed running. I'm always willing to help out new runners.
