VR Tutorial Video just got verified that doesn't qualify

CaptainDJ's VR Tutorial run does not qualify as a completed run because he does not put the MIA in the helipad capsule. There have been other threads for this game on this matter on what the actual rules for this category are

For reference this thread which I read before doing my speedruns for VR Tutorial: https://www.speedrun.com/tom_clancys_rainbow_six_extraction/thread/ukee0

They mentioned in the Discord recently that not putting them in the pod would count as the objective "completed" because it passes the objective in all other modes. I am opposed to this personally, but it needs to be defined in the rules either way.

There is no link to the discord on here. And from all the info on this game on Speedrun.com, where runs were removed because they didn't put the MIA in the extraction pod, there should have been some mention on the speedrun forum/thread of what the actual ruling is and the actual rules, and if the rules keep getting changed every couple of months for the same VR Tutorial run, then that in itself is a problem.

If you need it, the discord link is just below the follow button for this game on speedrun.com - or here https://discord.gg/hMzWFfEcCC you might be able to talk it out with them. For now, I say just take back the WR using the new strats.

I used another browser and see that there is a tiny discord icon on one of the pages to the discord. The one I always use must have it blocked. The point still stands that any major rulings/ rules changes should be announced on speedrun.com forums/threads and shouldn't be changed every couple of months. It's not fair to the people who are running on one set of rules which are slower because you have to complete one more action. Then it is allowed in rules where you don't have to do the extra action and therefore the run will be faster. Either way ClubDread and I were clearly running it on the rules that were thought where the actual rules for VR Tutorial and our times are slower and we are penalized because of this unannounced rule change.

Alright so let me clarify. I'm the one that verified all the recent runs. I saw that there were some older runs were rejected for not putting the MIA in the pod, so I talked about it with leftfornova, and decided that, since the game does count rescues completed when you do not put the rescue in the pod, the runs that don't put the rescue in the pod SHOULD be approved. So I personally retimed all the old runs that were rejected and approved them. And since there is no rule that specifies you HAVE to put the rescue in the pod, the run doesn't break any rules.

Understood, thank you for catching this game up on runs. Maybe we can revitalize this game!

@Mad_Ed thanks for verifying the runs. Anyways I have beaten the time again with the new rules. Also one of the reasons that I haven't run the game more is because of clarification of this rule and inactivity of people who are supposed to verify runs.

I will talk with the SuperMods about adding a rule to clarify this problem. I will post any updates in this thread.

Added a new rule for the VR Tutorial: "In subzone 3, you must extract either with the MIA operator in the extraction pod, or on your shoulder"
