I was thinking about doing some IL runs just to fill out the board a bit, bc it looks lonely, but I don't know what the No/Yes section means. I thought No meant no gifts, but then I saw a run that did use a gift and got confused. What does this category section mean?
The No/Yes option is the freestyle option.
Picking No means that you're going into Quickplay and doing it legit without taking th score penalty.
Yes, Unique Gifts means that you're taking the penalty or going into Freeplay and you're using no dupes.
Yes, Dupes is the same as yes, but you have duplicate gifts.
If you're not going into freeplay or taking the score penalty, pick no. If you are going into freeplay or taking the score penalty, then pick yes and either go unique or have duplicates.
Here are the exact rules on Freestyle:
NEW A new Freestyle Sub-Category has been implemented. To submit a time for this category, just go to Freeplay, set the level (up to 13) and then run the category. In the submission, make sure you show the build.
NEW The Freestyle Sub-Category will also have with or without dupes, so you can get creative or just go for RAW POWER!!!! Make sure you submit the submission proper.
I think I understand? I think those rules could be worded a bit better, especially because I don't think it's exactly 'new' anymore, which is especially confusing.
Also is there interest in the difference between Dupes and no dupes? Especially because Dupes by these rules are allowed in the 'no' section anyway
And perhaps we could name the categories differently to be more approachable, like for example, 'normal' and 'overgifted dupes' 'overgifted no dupes'
That could work. I'm make the changes when I get in. I just saw this while waiting for the bus.
