Any chance we can get the times not using the IGTimer re-timed to be on the same leaderboard? It feels weird being sectioned off to a second board when, when I did my run the visible WR didn't use the IGTimer, the timer didn't even work for me nor is there any access on the resources so if someone doesn't use livepslit they wont even know where to find it and the only forum on it was people saying the IGT isn't accurate and should be ignored and coming up with new start timings.

It looks like from looking at runs using it that it's not really an IGTimer but more of a load remover and if the runs could be re-timed from the frame a load is entered to when it ends it should be possible to re-time all the runs.

It's also possible to just set IGT as the standard but have all the runs on the same board but those without IGT will default to the bottom of the board but still all be on the same board and allow people to toggle between IGT and RTA by clicking on "IGT" or "Time" so if people want to see where those RTA runs without IGT timers might stand they can. Having two separate boards for this feels a bit overkill.

Hello, the problem with the game is that the loading times arent the same for everyone.

It depends hard on the hardware and i feel like also the version you played in so the "real time" is so inconsistant that it cant really be considered to be the main category.

The livesplit IGT removes the loading times fairly good and is a much better indicator for the final time.

I can understand that this is a bit unoptimal but i wasnt able to figure out how i can get it working without that.

putting both categorys together is just not fair..

and its really to hard to cut the loading times off without the livesplit indicator because there are a lot of situations where loading times get removed during the run.

i thought a lot about it, and this was the only fair way i could think off.

i could also put the runs without ingame time to the bottom but that feels a bit shitty to me, because good runs just dont appear like good runs anymore.

thats why i choose to add the second board for that (so you can get a WR even without using the livesplit IGT).

you can either run IGT livesplit, normal timer or even both together.

If you have a fair solution you can let me know.

I have to say I fully agree with Sasam. Having runs separated like they currently are is really awkward, and I think putting all runs on the same board, even if this means having RTA only on the bottom, is a better solution.

If that's not satisfactory, then honestly I'd rather just have RTA as the standard and IGT as a secondary timing method, even with loads being inconsistent between players. I'd of course prefer if IGT was the standard, but that preference most definitely comes second to having a united leaderboard that is better to navigate.

The game isn't and likely won't be hyper competitive and regardless of whether RTA is entirely competitively fair, the reality is that there are more runs on the RTA only board than the IGT board. Consider the fact that if every run currently on the IGT board was submitted for the RTA one as well it would be totally legit and IGT would just be a niche at that point. To add to this; 5 out of the 16 up-to-date runs on the leaderboard were ran on console. If timing for these are not adjusted, to make up for slower loads, these will never be fully competitive anyway. If the sole objective is fairness, all runs would technically have to be separated into individual categories based on platform as well, which I think we can all agree would be a horrible idea.

It might not be perfect, and I think use of IGT should be encouraged, however I think the leaderboards should reflect how the community is running the game rather than pushing an ideal that the majority of the community isn't following.

To reiterate, in my opinion the best solution would be to put all runs on the same board and simply make RTA the default. That way the whole community is represented together and if anyone wants to, they can simply sort runs by IGT and easily ignore the rest.

Since I noticed that several people here would like to see everyone together on a leaderboard, I decided to follow your request, unfortunately we can't make the game 100% fair, but I still hope for more runs in the future because the game is still great.
