A requested leaderboard, Sonic the Fighters Blitz is a 2D inspired fan game with a really neat art style that embodies the charisma of the original game. You can find more information about the game over here.

and aside from the leaderboard business, @AmberCyprian and I are looking for Sonic speedruns that don't feature Sonic as the main guy for our next Games Done Quick Hotfix, Sonic and the Sidekicks. Calling all Fighters!

The Classic Sonic Speedrun Community and Sonic the Figthers Discord are teaming up to find the best Honey speedrunner! As the board has been only been created recently we are setting a challenge. @Mystic_Noodle has set a time of 4:09.06. Open until 31st March, we are setting a bounty on the leaderboard:

If you're participating in this challenge, you will need to confirm your entries in the #contest-submissions channel in the Sonic the Fighters Discord.

Game Rules:

The emulator used doesn't have to be visually identifiable, but your settings/parameters for the Arcade mode must be displayed at either the beginning or end of the run.

Category Rules:

Runs are to use the final In Game Time displayed after the credits play (this does not include the Dr. Eggman fight, and therefore you are not required to win this fight)

Default settings must be used (Normal Difficulty, best-of-three fights, 30 seconds per fight, 5 barriers, Manual Mode, etc).

Runs using Honey can only be submitted if ran on platforms that intend for her to be playable. This means they can't be completed on modified ROMs/cheat exploited emulators. In this case the accepted platforms are: XBOX 360 and PS3.

Hi everyone, this is just a brief post about the recent changes the leaderboards for this game has undergone (starting with the boring stuff),

Rule Changes All runs now require setting identification. In simple terms, to have your run verified for the leaderboard, you must display the settings you use for you run in the submission video. If they do not meet the requirements (check this guide if you're unfamiliar with the default settings or how to display them) they will be rejected. This has been enforced to minimise the chances of cheating.

Honey is here! The Honey the Cat category is live! We have an event in the pipeline with prizes up for grabs, so we recommend holding off on the submissions if you want in on the action this February.

Individual Levels are Live! After a long wait, the Individual Level board is up with all the stages for every character! Once again, these runs must be run on the default settings and require some form of identification in the submission.
