Hi. I was wondering if this game had a level leader board. I want to start speedrunning this game but only want to do a few stages/bosses at the moment. If this game doesn't have a level leaderboard, could it please be added? Thank You!

First of all do you have any videos of IL's. We generally don't put leader boards up unless there are a couple of runs, so that we don't have empty boards.

IL's would be cool I'd say just add each location on the world map and do Level's 1-5 (I think) that's the basics

It doesn't work like that. Not all missions can be added because they don't show a time at the end of it.

Sorry I don't have any current videos of IL's. I had my IL's on my computer's hard drive and it gave out about a month and a half ago. I can't get a new one atm. Again, I'm super sorry.

Seeing as this thread is a year old, I don't think replying to it matters that much. But it would be really cool if you guys added individual levels! I wanna run this game but I'm not near good enough for a full run. I'd have a few runs to submit if you did.

The way this game handles some levels, where not every mission actually displays the final time at the end, makes it sorta odd. Maybe we could make ILs for every mission that actually displays the timer in the results screen - but again, we'd like to see runs of these missions beforehand. Can you post some of your ILs?

Not every level may have a time at the end, but they all have a timer within the level. Couldn't you just count whatever the timer says the last frame it's onscreen?

I do have a few ILs for levels that do have a time on the results screen, these were all done on a completed save file as I'd assume most ILs would be:

If this was to be done, you would have to show the timer on the results screen. When looking into speedrunning this game, I was experimenting with the timer. It turns out the timer would add 2-5 centiseconds after you touch the goal. So taking the time from the last frame you can see, isn't do-able.

That's unfortunate, are the other levels alright though?

I just wanna add my thoughts on the "Final Frame the time is on screen" even tho FlyingFox already said that isn't do-able and to that I say wouldn't people who record at 60FPS have a disadvantage because an extra frame would be added to the final time? So would that mean you have to record at 60FPS for the most accurate time?

I think that's about right so that method wouldn't really work out too well

But in general I think we should just leave IL's alone if it's gonna be this complicated and we can't get every stage :/

Well not technically IL's we could make Categories in the IL leaderboard here on SRC for completing different areas (I forget what they are actually called) for example completing every Misty Lake level or every Titanic Plain level. It would all be timed by RTA

I think a game that does this really well is NSMBW so if you want an example check out that games IL leaderboard and the individual world speedruns
