Can we use Super Famicom to speedrun SMB1 (NES)? What if I download the NES ROM to my SD2SNES and then speedrun it? Is it allowed? It is basically just speedrunning SMB1 (NES) on SNES. So will it be allowed? (Note: I will download the standalone ROM of SMB1 and then speedrun it)
The reason why I’m doing that is because I don’t have an NES and I don’t find any in my country.
You could just run on an emulator or order a console from abroad. I ordered one from japan and it works great.
No. if you want to stick to your SNES you have to play the all-stars version. if you have no official way of playing the game then play it with the FCEUX or Nestopia emulator on PC. You don't need a powerful PC to run them or anything.
@Pexxio actually I brought my Super Famicom from Japan itself, the fact is that we can’t go to Japan again just to buy a Famicom lol so that is why I wanted to check out if I could use this method.
