The controls are still really bad I played over 7 hours. the boss fights are really hard frustrating and boring at the same time I can handle normal missions but all range mode is are so hard. Any tips? I feel very disappointed (do to the controls) with the game so far but I'm powering on though to learn the controls. I just wish I didn't have use motion control but that just my opinion.
Are you sure I can get use to the controls I feel hopeless on boss fights.
To beat a dead horse, practice. And you'd be surprised how effective it can be. Especially on bosses like Aquarosa where you can lap around it to avoid EMP and fire at it simultaneously. :3
Watching the replies here are rather interesting.
There are some Youtube videos from channels with lots of exposure trying to pass the game controls as broken or a mess. One video goes to the extent of using Zallard negative comments at the game release, as proof of the control failures. Zallard personally admitted that he was kind of venting at that time since he was so used to 64 controls.
Yet the video author did not make any amendments to what he said. Really classy.
A lot of the reviews on Youtube are from people who played the game ones and never got used to the controls. Take Skyward Sword as an example. Speedrunners all agree on the fact that the motion controls for Skyward Sword works out extremely well, although no one else agreed on it to begin with. Now SS is such an old game that people start to enjoy it - because they are used to motion controls.
The same goes with SF Zero, it takes time to get into. And honestly, if you can not play the game for more than 5 hours before saying the controls are bad and you won't play it, then the game is not for you. Zero is not a "Play though it ones and finish the story" kind of game, but rather a "Improve yourself over time" kind of game. And a lot of reviews has missed that fact.
