Could we possibly add co-op Any% categories for 3 and 4 players? These are both options in the game, and it would be quite fun to see how fast we can go with a large number of players.
probably inst going to change much, inst like the 3° and 4° player will have something to do, like 1° players gets matches, 2° gets jerry so
Yeah, it might not change much, it'd still be fun though. I think something along the lines of: Player 1: gets matches, turns computer on, does safe, kills boss once everything else is done. Player 2: Gets silver key, fuse, turns power on. Player 3: Gets brass/steel keys to get the crowbar, crowbars the wood (optional get jerry can) Player 4: Extra/moving furniture such as the carpet, opening doors, for 4 player takes the place of player 3 and gets the jerry can fast. Just a suggestion, though.
I feel like the game is too short to have 3-4 players speedrun it. Similar to what forgiee said, there is a bit of waiting some players have to do during other players' actions.
That, and I feel like it'd take way longer for the same amount of time, given the wait. 2 player ultimately is just as optimized as it can get on paper, unless you really just had people key sniping and others waiting at the doors, only to save like 3 seconds though for the same strategy plan as Co-Op 2 player.
Side note though, I can't imagine the amount of frustration trying to get 4 people to perfectly pull off a run.
Lol, it'd be pretty hilarious with 4 people. I see all your points, it probably would be pretty useless. But with the Melon% now here, I think it'd still be a fun thing to add. But either way, this is a fun little community.
I dont think 3 or 4 player categories will be made for a while at least. 2 players are enough, the differences between 2 and 4 would be small, unlike the transition from 1 player to 2 players, where the route changes completely.
The thing about Alone in a Dark House is that its one constant is it's constant minor changes that change the speed of runs.
Beyond this point I wont be removing older runs for being slower because of a more recent update (probably shouldn't have done that anyway lol).
Now the real problem is
