NOTE: This route assumes you have a +Sp. Atk nature and 28-31 IV. You can easily run worse Squirtles, but you will need to buy more X Specials and make other tweaks to fights. If you plan to run worse Squirtles, I recommend studying the other routes on speedrun.com in addition to this one.

INTRO
- Start RNG manip timer when you name your character

PALLET TOWN
- Check ID and put in program
- Only accept Charmanders with extremely high Sp. Atk (boosting nature and 26+ IV), good Attack (20+) and not terrible Defense or Speed
- Rival 1: Scratch spam

ROUTE 1
- Get 47 exp. if possible, but stop killing things once you have Ember
- Catch Rattata or Pidgey (not both). Scratch to weaken

VIRIDIAN FOREST
- Fight 3 optionals (Ember spam)
- Get to 47 exp. if not there yet (Scratch x2 Caterpie; Ember anything else)
- Weedle Guy: Ember

PEWTER CITY
- Shopping: 7 Potions, 2 Antidotes, 3 Repels

PEWTER GYM
- Heal to ~22 HP
- Brock: Ember x3-5, (Growl), MC x4
	> Onix damage:
		- If 12-27/0-11/x: 22-26/15-18	
		- If 28-31/12-27/x: 20-24/15-18
		- If x/28-31/x: 17-20/11-14 
	> Low HP after this fight is nice, but not required
