Hello everyone. We are open for any proposals in regards to adding new categories to our Gen 3 category extensions leaderboards.

Please post these requests below this post.

Some of the rules before requesting a new category:

• You must have completed at least one run of the proposed category.
• The goal and the restrictions should not be too arbitrary. The goal of the category should have some appeal in a casual sense of the game or just be a common meme.

Please also request Alt Main Pokes requests here if you have completed a run of this.

Please specify the ruleset that is used for your category precisely, in order for us to be able to copy them over easily.

9999 Game Corner Coins (FRLG):

• Save before getting Coin Case in Celadon City. (I will also create an mGBA Save file in the style of the Emmy Battle Factory Category)
• You may not BUY any coins from the desk, You may, however, pick up any Coins from the ground and receive gifts from other patrons. (This rule is to eliminate money as a factor. It's against the spirit of the run to grab other items and fight trainers to buy your way through)
• Time Starts when loading the Coin Case save file and ends when the Credit Counter hits 9999 Coins.

Directed to AffectedAshes: if you want to join the Community Discord, I’m trying to start up an extended discussion regarding individual facility rulesets. Since the factory falls within its own team building confines, it was easier to set rules for, but I believe more discussion needs to be had before we finalize those rulesets. Just a few more variables are needed to be solved.

Yeah I gave up on that idea. Clearly no interest whatsoever.

Don't just give up, cuz quite frankly, I think all it'd take is a run or 2 on the board to get the ball rolling. I quite frankly want to run with this idea also, so I'm gonna add it to the leaderboard (you've already got a well-thought out run done, so that's all the justification I need)

@Hammones if you want to see the category added to the leaderboards you have to do a run of it first and post it here. You can use the Manipless FRLG rules as reference. If you use an emulator, make sure you read the rules regarding emulators as well

There actually already have been quite some manipless runs for this game before, so a sub category would be interesting

I think it'd be interesting as well but I wouldn't like to create an empty category. If someone posts a run here I can create the category so that it can be submitted

True, I agree, also for ruleset I think it could be avoiding S+Q before picking up starter, and before wild encounters as well, and probably a few other changes ig

Request: Entrance Randomiser - Defeat Wallace Goal: Defeat Wallace using a blind seed with the Emerald Entrance randomiser Rules: No external tools can be used to examine the ROM such as map editors or spoiler log files. You cannot receive external information about the seed prior to or during the run. Tools such as trackers can be used to keep track of progress. Save states cannot be used, sensible manual saving should be done to avoid softlocks.
