Heya everyone,
The version 2.0 update of AFOM (also known as C.A.T.W.E.B.S) released just yesterday, I've been working together with the developer EmeraldMan to port over a bunch of the features found in SRC Hotfix (alongside some other things). Thanks to this and AFOM becoming the standard for playing/making CYOP levels as of recent I've decided to make AFOM the default and recommended form of CYOP to do runs for this leaderboard with!
Runs using SRC Hotfix or the base version of CYOP will still be accepted if the level is made with it in mind, but using them is highly discouraged.
Heyo everyone!
After a long time of inactivity there's been some stuff happening on the leaderboards starting last week. I wanna go over them real quick here since I've been mostly talking about it on the new official discord. Just so everyone following the leaderboards and isn't there is up to speed.
Categories are actively being added again!
The leaderboards have been dormant for a while but yes, we've been steadily adding more levels, towers and categories! Gerome's Side Project and Pizza Hotel have been added to the full tower leaderboards and a number of individual levels such as Cumulus Cheese and Po-Boy Bayou have been added as well, there will be more to come too. Feel free to suggest any stuff in the forum thread or the aforementioned discord server. I'm planning on freely adding new levels as much as possible and rotating them out if it turns out there's not much interest in running it.
A CYOP fork for the speedrunning community
A couple of days ago SRC Hotfix got released! Since we're already running on a modified instance of the game I opted to put together a slightly adjusted version that aims to fix some of the major bugs, backports the in-game timer from the most recent vanilla Pizza Tower versions, adds multibinds and other adjustments to make running this game more comfortable. Since performing runs on this version of the game gives a slight advantage there's now an extra variable that indicates which version of the game you're running, please remember to set this when submitting!
Updated rulings
A number of changes have been made to clarify the rules of each category, please remember to take a look at them at least once when submitting! Most noteworthy is that runs using base CYOP and other forks are now exclusively timed in RTA (real time). This is due to a couple of reasons such as the timer bug that's present in this version, being unable to account for pause buffers and a lack of precision. The exception to this is the SRC Hotfix fork which aims to fix these issues, as such you can simply use the in-game timer when submitting a run using this version.
That should be all hopefully, you can contact me on the discord or just shoot me a message and I'll be there to help/clarify anything!
