Last time I broke the previous world record, it was only by 1.23 seconds. So dropping it a further 14.4 seconds is AWESOME. Let's address a couple of issues though:
-
There's no game audio - I stupidly recorded the wrong output on OBS. However, as per a rule we agreed with UnMetal, as Mini Ghost has the in-built option to mute all game audio, the run is still valid. I've added some YouTube music is post so it's not just silent.
-
LiveSplit suggested I was two minutes ahead and changed - I was actually running against Average Splits, which I beat by 2:14. After the run was complete, I switched it to Personal Best, thus the correct delta of 14.4.
-
The game's own timer continued - because I somewhat fumbled to change LiveSplit I paused the game after the boss had been defeated and the timer had already stopped (LiveSplit's Autosplitter ended at the correct moment). For some reason, this causes the in-built timer to continue again. This is a bug that I'm raising with the developer. The final time on LiveSplit stands as the timer ends when the boss reaches 0 health and does match what the in-built timer initially stopped on.
Outside of those issues, this was a great run. Sub-16 is doable, but the RNG for cubes early on does need to be on your side. I also really should now drop the Mine Detector to squeeze a bit more time.
