Hidden Super Strats

Hey all, thanks to my friend Retro_Zord and some info found on the net, a consistent way to use the hidden super moves has been found.

If you buffer the super input before each zord round, its possible to drastically reduce the time on runs, to the point where it seems a 4:45 could be possible.

To use the hidden supers you have to input back, down-back, down, down-forward, forward, 6 times in quick succession, then press the heavy attack button.

If you do it correctly the megazord will shoot like a circle beam thing that hits the enemy twice, allowing you to dash up and finish them with 4 jabs. 94's are possible on every single megazord fight with this and good rng.

Be warned this input is extremely hard to do, but its confirmed to work on emulators and the actual console.

Thats pretty wild. When me and my buddy Pix started running this going back and forth as a meme we never thought this game would turn into what it has.

Holy shite. That’s actually insane. Would you consider possibly making a video tutorial for the supers? If not, totally fine, this should suffice, but that’s crazy to me, and those inputs are even crazier. GG on the runs and thanks for all the info!

If I get the chance I may make a video, but for now I can expand on it a little.

Here is the motion you use visualized: http://wiki.shoryuken.com/images/e/e7/Hcfanim.gif (Hopefully it works I haven't posted images on this forum yet).

I always wait until the words "Battle Stage #" appear on the screen pre-fight before I start spamming the motion. I don't even count the number of times I do the motion, you just need to do at least 6 before the round begins. I then take my finger off the dpad and wait maybe .5 seconds then press the heavy attack button. You'd be surprised how long you can wait before pressing attack.

You can either go for a pure input where you do the half circle forward motion only, avoiding any of the up directions, or you can do a 360 motion on the dpad. Both work, but the 360 wears on your thumb a lot more.

If the lightning mastadon move comes out, you missed one of the down inputs when you were buffering. If the regular fireball comes out, you didn't get enough motions in before attacking. If the sword move comes out, you waited too long to press attack.

Can't give enough props to Kirinth.

I hope we get some new folks playing this and have some returns as well.

Today, September 12, 2023, I can confirm that it is real, I did it by playing it from retroarch on my PS3.

Today is September 13, 2023 and I found the exact way to perform these movements.

A YouTube user told me the way to do it. HCF, HCB x4 + B. (HCF means half a circle forward, that is, you start from behind and end pointing forward. HCB means half a circle backwards, that is, you start from the front and end pointing backwards.)

So that means HCF, HCB, HCF, HCB, HCF, HCB, HCF, HCB + B.

I tried a few times and it worked twice.

Regarding the speed with which you have to do it, it doesn't have to be super fast, just try to do the sequence fluidly and it will turn out well.

So back when I was running this game I loaded it up in Bizhawk and used the TAS feature to try and make a TAS of the game.

The inputs I used to perform the super was like I described in my post above, which is half circle forward x 6. Works everytime like that in the TAS.

Went in today and put the inputs suggested and it does not work, so I think unfortunately it is HCF x 6 and maybe you got lucky with the inputs and buffered enough to cast the super using your inputs.

It would be much easier if the new inputs worked but I can't get it to work in the TAS, and anytime I get the super trying it in game I'm pretty sure I'm just accidently doing the HCF x 6 input to make it come out.
