A few months ago, we realized that there was inconsistency between runners on load times. At the time we weren't sure what to do about it because we weren't sure how accurate the IGT was, so we just lived with it. Fast Forward to a few days ago, where a runner (FFyte) in the Discord was able to make a load remover for Livesplit. After doing some testing to make sure the load remover was accurate, we can now switch to in game time for our runs. This will more accurately reflect the skill of the runners over the power of their PC.
First off, to download the load remover, use this link here Load Remover
If you need help setting up the autosplitter, runner thewoofs made a quick tutorial. Watch here Set Up Guide
As an update to the ruleset for the game going forward, we will REQUIRE IGT for the top 3 runs on the leaderboard. Also I would like for runners to continue to keep track of your RTA times as well. The load remover has been tested with the Steam release, but as of this post has not been tested with the GOG release. If you have problems with the load remover let us know. As a back up, you can track IGT by checking the auto-save file after you finish the run. We just need to do a little conversion as the auto-save stops the IGT a little bit sooner than the last input.
