I am the first person to "don't die" on a run. I did this by doing basically no fancy strategies or time saves. This is a little guide on how to be safe.

Most levels are pretty streight forward on how to aproach them safely, however there are a few tricks on the more problematic levels where your most likely to die: Mind The Bumps, The Sponge, Build Up Speed, Around The Citadel, and Crush Planet.

On mind the bumps I like to go forward on the outer path you start on and then jump over to the path to the left whenever I get enough lift to do so. Being on the left side has one major benefit: If you get bounced to either side you still can recover. Being on the right path again is fine and you can play like you would on the center path. If your pushed to the left you can attempt to use a speedrunning strat and bounce off of the center to the flag, this is not only faster but much better than just dieing (Watch the individual level speedrun to see this being used intentionally). Idealy you will remain on the center path so just remember to slow down before you make your turn to the flag, I have died many times from being too greedy with my speed.

The biggest trick to the sponge is to just take it slow and trust none of the holes, you can make it over some but its better to be safe than sorry. Loosing five seconds from going slow is better than potentially loosing 15 from a restart.

Actually fuck build up speed I hate that level. If your run dies it dies here.

Around the citadel has a simple strategy: make sure to stay on the higher path on the far left edge throughout the level. You will get pushed off if you are in the center or the right. Check a single level run to see what I mean. I find going fast is safer here and most mistakes can be recovered.

Here is my biggest trick. On crush planet start the level by immediately holding W and A without miving the camera. This will safely get you through the first third of the level and put you in a good position to get through the other two thirds. From here just make sure you dont land in any holes and you should be good. With some good jumps you can get a 13 second time using this. Make sure you dont move the camera and to begin playing normally once you get to the second side.
