Hi, so this isn't actually a speedrun topic but this is the only place I could find where folks are talking about this game. So, on the map Gravity Zero, just before the section where you drive down a long hill that turns into a loop, there's an extra piece of track. If you attempt to use it, you'll receive the "Lost?" message and then be automatically teleported to the previous checkpoint.
Does anybody know why it does this? It's been a complete mystery to me ever since I was a kid, so if y'all have any ideas, lemme know. If it helps, I'm on the Xbox 360/Xbox One version, so I don't know if it's present on PC. Thank you again!
I'm not sure how it looks on Xbox, but on PC you have 3 game modes you can play: Adventure, Arcade, and Battle. The battle game mode consists of 4 battles to choose from, every one of which of 5 maps. A battle is like a mini tournament, on every map you get points based on a place you finished, win whoever has the most points at the end of map 5. However, you need to unlock a battle before you can play it. You do it by collecting a battle flag that is hidden somewhere in one of the adventure maps. That's where the extra piece of the track comes in. At the end of that track, a battle flag unlocks the "US Mix" battle.
