Is a reset allowed? I think this should be banned because doing this can cause the IGT to rewind.
In addition, it is now possible to adjust the RNG and reset the RNG back to its initial value by a reset.
With the current rules, we can do a reset with no risk. I believe that some rule changes are needed.

If the IGT didn't reset, I would say resets would be allowed. RNG Manipulations aren't a bad thing and it's what pushes games and runners to a limit.
But with the discovery that it resets IGT (since we base times for Story Mode off this) - THis should be properly thought about.

I'm very open to ideas, but the easiest fix I see for this is making the category utilize RTA timing, but I would still allow for resets. This would eliminate the use of IGT, allow for the manip, and utilize a more accurate timing.
The only issue I can see with this, is maybe emulators.. I will need feedback on this since I ran this game on the actual cart. Does the 3DSVC, WiiUVC, and Emulator have the same load time as if rebooting a SNES and a Cart for this game? Because if there is a HUGE advantage because of game resetting to a certain platform.. we have 2 options:
- Say the hell with it - play whatever platform you want, just know this one has an advantage
- Don't allow resets - which takes away barrier to entry for a top time (which I don't like)
If you can change it to RTA, that would be the best way, I think. Changing to RTA creates a risk in RNG manipulation and a choice to do or not to do. However, existing records are not run for RTA, which may create extra lost time.
I believe that the load difference is so small as to be almost negligible. But VC may be a little slow as it needs to be reset from the VC menu.
If I'm understanding this right, if I do like 3 levels in story mode and then reset, I can start the 4th with a reset in-game timer? I'm confused - but if that is the case just banning mid-run resets would be the answer. Let me know if I'm understanding this right.
You can reset the game in the middle of the fourth level and start over at the end of the third level. IGT also returns when finish the third level. To allow resetting in IGT is to allow Segmented.
