I don"t have the fps_override command in the console, and when I set fps_max to 1000, the text in the console is valid but if you look in the left corner, I still have 100 fps. After turning off the console and reopening it, my fps_max goes back to 100.

if you want to go above 100fps you need to enter "developer 1" and "fps_modem 1" in console. but going above 250fps will cause slowdown.

Even at 250 fps you can feel the slowdown. But why is this happening? If you run Half Life.Bat from the Goldsrc Package, there will be no slowdown. But another problem arises that there you have 500 units limit.

goldsrc package contains steam version with fixed high fps slowdown and bhopcap if you go above 544 ups. if you want to remove it just type "bxt_bhopcap 0" in console

Yes it worked, but there is another problem fps_max resets to 100 after each load, but this is off topic. Thysm

bxt_remove_fps_limit 1 , and fps_max "u num"
