This is the World Record run of The Great Giana Sisters for the Amiga as of June 21st, 2024.

This run concludes my 2024 grind of The Great Giana Sisters (With Warps) for the Amiga.

Notable mistakes:

• Stage 16 - small bonk on the wall, costing about 0.3 seconds.

That's it for mistakes!

Improvements to be included:

-Stage 6 the bomb can be grabbed earlier. Saving 0.3 seconds

-Stage 21 faster jump over the fish pond. At 5:31 in the run its possible to jump without bonking with the head. This is very risky as you'll usually die because you are not up high enough to evade the fish, but it can save 0.6 - 0.7 seconds.

-Stage 22 Death Warp can be performed a bit earlier, saving about 0.4 seconds.

All together adding up to 1.4 seconds

What's possible in this run with the current route / tech?

6:21 is definitely reachable. It takes a near-perfect run though.

6:20 is absolutely achievable too, but it requires a level and intensity of grind that's not on my radar. Every single thing needs to not only be executed mistake-free, but also optimized.

6:19 might be the limit of what's achievable. My Sum of Best shows 6:16 but I strongly think that this is due to splitting inaccuracies (20 splits with splitting variation of let's say 0.15 secs add up to 3 seconds in total)

Of course, new ways to do things, faster strats, all might make a lot more possible.

Compared to my old 6:28 run this uses new ideas, most notably:

-Stage 13: Using the clock to stop the jumping ball, making another countdown skip possible. It's pretty tight to get to 100 diamonds again by Stage 25, but it's possible.

One idea: If we could find just 1-2 more Diamonds on the way of 13 to 22, we could incorporate another Countdown Skip in Stage 22 already instead of stage 25, which would be massive, but extremely tight

I will probably make an in-depth video about how this run works, displaying the details and ideas that are still out there.
