This is extremely satisfying. Should I put it up as a Misc category or just leave it here?
While I don't run this game in particular, it doesn't matter since this applies to every game: a category for blindfolded has no value, and will do nothing other than showing off your one run. Please don't do that.
@Bismuth is this what you do in your spare time? Go through forums for games that you don't even speedrun and tell people they're just promoting themselves? Why the incessant harassment? Like what is your deal? Blindfolded% is a real miscellaneous category that people like DeZer0 and jumpyluff do for fun, just like any other speedrun on this site, whether they're the only ones who do it or not. People like you are why the speedrunning community is turning to pure toxicity
This game was brought to my attention because this "blindfolded%" category was being talked about on Twitter. Funny that you say people like me are "why the community is turning into pure toxicity" (which, first of all, isn't even true - the community is still as friendly as it ever was), because I would argue that categories like "blindfolded%" are part of what is actually hurting this community the most. There's one thing I don't want to see, and it would be speedrun.com turning into Record Setter, where everybody makes up ludicrous categories to claim their own little uncontested world record.
I don't know how pointing out that putting the category on the leaderboards was a bad idea can be considered "incessant harassment". Lashing out on me, claiming "harassment" while all I did was try to show some common sense in a civil way in one forum post, now that's something that could qualify for being "pure toxicity".
By the way, the category had already been removed when you posted that, and I commend Jumpyluff for removing it. I'm not sure what your goal was with your post considering the issue had already been resolved.
Sorry for digging up an old topic, but why exactly was the blindfolded category removed? Has only Jumpyluff ever finished a blindfolded run?
