Why exactly are emulators banned? RPCS3 runs just like a regular ps3, plus you can use it to have the dlc that you can no longer get on regular ps3 so you can compete equally with those that use the dlc.
I have another off-topic question as well.
Why are runs ranked by IGT and not RTA? It's not a game with a lot of loading and IGT is often inconsistent. There was a run that I did that even with the RTA higher than my PB, it gave a lower IGT.
About banning the Emulator, I don't think it would change much either. It runs practically the same as a PS3, and can even be limited to 59 FPS. In addition to competing on an equal footing with the DLC that entitles you to relics that help with strategies. I believe it's a pre-order DLC, and nowadays it's practically impossible to get them on a PS3.
Hey guys sorry for a delay, haven't been following much speedrun stuff lately. Basically emu was banned for not having any documentation or footage or anything at all (this was years ago). I'm not against it and say go ahead and play, record, do runs on emu and we can make space for it!

There was no proof/timings the DLC relics really saved much time, and with there only being like 5 runs which I don't think any of them used the DLC relics? we thought meh and added the tab so that we could say which runs had them, but if it came to the point one DLC relic was a considerable advantage, definitely would be changed. And

I had the same thing with the RTA/IGT being backwards from what you expect, it makes no sense to me. Maybe with emulator someone can tell us how the IGT actually works? maybe its just total shite lmao.
All of this stuff can be changed I think the boards should reflect the current player base so feel free to chat here or better, in the discord, since that's usually where I check daily and there are others in there that may not check SRC forums and have good input.
Thanks for the interest in the game, It's one of my favorites and always made me sad to see so little respect for it in the speedrun community.
