There's been a lot of updates that have patched the game but I still want to run this game, what could be done on the board?

I didn't patch any of the speed running loopholes in the patches I don't think, mostly I just made the final boss have a bit more health and added a few more enemies in the final arena lol

I tried to dawnpatch but got this... Depot download failed : missing license for depots 14472297

do you own the game? download the game through Steam then try rerunning the command, if that doesn't work try logging into Steam db. I haven't got this error so I'm not too sure but I hope this helps
