Can someone explain why high scores wouldn't be competitive?

I know the dealer can be tricked into making stupid decisions and all that, but it's still easy to lose. It can't be the RNG factor because literally hundreds of games have heavy RNG elements in their records. I mean if ya'll don't wanna watch a bunch of multiple hour runs to check for cheating just say it. Otherwise I can't figure it out. Please enlighten me.

I really wanna see how far I can take a run but there's no real leaderboard yet

This is above all a speedrunning sites. In our opinion a high-score leaderboard is not what we envision for our speedrunning page. It's not that it wouldn't be competitive, or we don't want to watch long runs, that's just not what this page is about.

I mean the only thing that mentality is gonna accomplish is giving someone else the opportunity to be the "official" DoN leaderboard. There are an innumerable amount of joke categories (including ones with rules that do nothing except slow you down) across this site and quite a few runs that are anything but fast. It may be called speedrun.com but it's more of a leaderboard site. But whatevs. Your board, I guess.

1st round DoN gives a random number, therefore this is unreliable

Those are mostly across Category Extension leaderboards @Number1Villian . Those boards' purpose is to be more meme heavy, while main leaderboards are for a more "typical" speedrun. An example of this is present on FNaF: Security Breach's CE board, with runs like Death%

Queensland, Australia

and irlpizza%
