this one explains itself

1: no suggesting obscure and/or crappy timers or joke timers

2: no suggesting anything straight from the app store (i swear to god i checked all of the 5 timers on there and none of them actually can be used to full potential BECAUSE THEY RATHER FUCKING SUCK OR THEY DONT HAVE ANY TUTORIALS ON THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE NAMED CLEVERLY SO THAT WHEN I SEARCH FOR TUTORIALS NO MATTER HOW I PHRASE IT I GET 0 TUTORIALS ON WHAT IM LOOKING FOR

3: the speedrun timer you suggest must have a 64-bit mac version and have a tutorial linked to it

good thing you aren't required to have a speedrun timer

you are not required to have a timer for most games. as long as you record the game its alright. id suggest using something like livesplit one ( https://one.livesplit.org )

1: i'd like to have a timer anyways so i dont have to literally take the audio of the entire recording and put it into scratch to have a rough estimation of my final time

2: chrome keybinds only work when tabbed in so LiveSplitOne isnt an option

I mean you can literally have a timer going on your phone so you can see your "final time" if that's what you're concerned about... They do also make timer apps for mobile which people do use.

i'd rather have the timer on-screen

A timer that you can add into the video using video editing software, HitFilm for a (poor user-end) example has a 'timecode' feature where you can put a timer in which is tied to the video speed, and choose where it starts and stops.

In the end, the real failure was Mac all along. :(

As a Mac user I just had to get used to Spliter (from the App Store) and yes it sucks. One question tho, what kinda Mac do you have? If it’s an Intel Mac than you can purchase Windows 10 for cheap, install it using boot camp assistant, download Live Split, do your run, and put the video file on and flash drive.
